Do I have to be a survivor to work with you?

You do not have to be a survivor to work with me or even be someone who has experienced abuse. I work with all forms of trauma including medical trauma, abuse, domestic violence, and poverty. Not all identify with the term survivor and I am happy to respect this in our sessions!

Where do you see clients?

Anywhere within the state of Connecticut or the state or North Carolina.

What’s the process?

We first schedule a quick consult over the phone or via video if preferred, we discuss your goals for therapy and go over whether you’d like to utilize insurance. After we’ve talked and decided to work together, I will input your insurance information to verify, send over some forms and schedule our first session via telehealth.

How long does EMDR take?

EMDR requires intentional work and focus in sessions, therefore EMDR is not typically something you do forever. Most clients feel relief/a difference within 1-3 months and work towards completing a good amount of processing of memories in 6-12 if committed to weekly or 2x weekly appointments. EMDR can be utilized long term in collaboration with talk therapy.
